RoseMary (Rose) - Maid of Honor
she/her
Rosie and I met early on in college, but it wasn't until near the end of my third year that we became best friends. Brave enough to communicate her needs with me, she asked me early on if it would be okay to slow the conversation down and let her reflect on what we'd been saying. This open and direct communication has been the standard of our relationship ever since. After being Rose's MoH, it was only natural for her to be mine as well.
Jessica (Jess) - Bridesmaid
she/her
Jessica (as apparently only I call her) and I were in the same 2nd grade class and I have been able to count on her ever since (though you wouldn't know it from the lack of photos of us together). Whether phoning each other every day after school just to sit in silence together, driving around with the windows open (even in the middle of winter) or hanging out on her bedroom floor, just being together is our thing. I'm so glad that she'll be here for my wedding as well.
Ericson - Brother of Ceremonies
he/him
My "not-so-little" brother. He came into my life after just over two years of being an only child and oh boy could that "baby cry"! I might have even been jealous enough of him to undo my potty training for more attention. But we've managed to grow up and grow close (even after I moved across the pond) and I am so grateful that he said yes when I asked him to be co-in-charge of organizing the entertainment for our reception.
Tobias - Best Man
he/him
My oldest friend. Tobias and I met in first grade, when we were only 6 years old and we have stuck together since. We managed to attend the same 3 schools throughout our youth, and now we are even getting married the same year! Sometimes we would go to his place and play Gamecube when we had unusually long lunches, and sometimes after school we would play trumpet together really poorly. Even after longer times of not keeping in touch, it's always like not a day has passed when we get together again, and I was very happy he wanted to be my best man.
Märta - Sister of Ceremonies
she/her
With 8 years between us, we were not your typical image of a sibling pair. We didn't play much, and we didn't fight much (let's be honest, I would just have won). We were in quite different stages of life. But as we have grown older, that gap has diminished and we have become closer and closer. Märta has always had the ability to liven up a room with confident energy, and therefore I am very excited to receive her help to MC the party.
Lucy - Reader
she/her
Raven's mom started taking care of Lucy when she was just a couple of months old. Waffling between older-sister and cool-aunt roles, Raven has adored watching the wrinkly baby turn into a kind girl. It's hard to believe that she's now 11 years old! The two of them have gone on small adventures together and, when Fredrik came around, he immediately joined in on the fun. We're honored to have her reading what the Bible has to say about love on our special day.
